  • For cosmetic brands, selecting a facial cleanser processing plant is a crucial step before the product is launched. The factory's capability directly affects product quality and delivery stability. The brand needs to establish a screening framework from three aspects: inspection dimensions, cooperation conditions, and process nodes to reduce cooperation risks.


    1、 Three levels of assessing factory capabilities

    Qualification and Compliance Review

    The brand party shall first verify the cosmetics production license of the factory, and confirm that its scope of license includes the category of "cream lotion". The factory can be requested to provide inspection reports from regulatory authorities in the past two years to check for any non conformance records. At the same time, through the official website of the National Medical Products Administration, the factory's annual flight inspection results are queried, and the number of defective items and rectification status are monitored. A factory with standardized management should achieve a purification level of 300000 or 100000 in its production workshop, and be equipped with a purified water preparation system.


    Matching degree between production hardware and production capacity

    During on-site inspections, it is important to focus on the operational status of the air purification system in the filling workshop and whether the volume of the emulsifying pot meets the order volume. For example, if the brand's first order quantity is 50000 units, the factory's emulsion pot batch output should be above 500 kilograms to ensure consistent quality between batches. In addition, checking whether the warehouse's raw material zoning and finished product sample room management are orderly - whether the shelf life and purchase date on the raw material labels are clear, and whether the sample products are archived by batch - these details reflect the daily management level of the factory.


    Verification of Quality Control System

    The factory may be required to provide a list of personnel qualifications and testing equipment for the microbiological laboratory. Before cooperation, it is recommended that the brand purchase commercially available products of the same type of facial cleanser from the factory and submit them to a third-party organization for testing of pH value, effective substance content, total bacterial count, and other indicators. The results should be compared with the factory's factory report. Factories with small deviations have relatively reliable quality control stability.


    2、 Cooperation conditions and negotiation points

    Minimum order quantity and price gradient

    Factories usually set a minimum order quantity threshold of 5000 to 10000 units. The brand should inquire about the unit price ladder corresponding to different order volumes, as well as the packaging material loss rate standard (industry standard loss rate is 0.3% to 0.5%). It is necessary to clarify whether formula development fees, sampling fees, and initial filing and testing fees are included, and whether these fees will be deducted from subsequent bulk orders.


    Payment terms and delivery cycles

    The regular cooperation adopts the method of prepayment of 30% -50% deposit and final payment settlement before shipment. The negotiation space for payment terms is limited, but the brand can strive to include payment within 7 working days after the arrival and acceptance in the contract. The production cycle of facial cleanser is generally 15-20 working days after receiving the packaging materials. The brand needs to confirm the number of orders that the factory is undertaking at the same time to avoid scheduling delays.


    3、 Step by step analysis of cooperation process

    Step 1: Requirement docking and formula screening

    The brand side provides product concept, skin feeling preference (such as foam richness, skin feeling after washing), and anti-corrosion system requirements. The factory provides 2-3 basic formulas for blind testing based on this. A confidentiality agreement needs to be signed at this stage.


    Step 2: Sample making and stability testing

    After confirming the direction of the formula, the factory produces small samples and simultaneously conducts heat resistance (40 ℃± 1 ℃), cold resistance (-5 ℃± 1 ℃), and cycling temperature tests. The testing period is about two weeks, during which the brand can conduct an internal user experience evaluation.


    Step 3: Preparation of Filing Materials

    The factory assists in providing a full ingredient list of the formula and a brief description of the production process, while the brand entrusts a testing agency to complete microbiological and heavy metal testing. Both parties shall jointly verify the information on the domestic ordinary cosmetics filing information platform to ensure accurate submission.


    Step 4: Trial production and mass production

    Before formal production, a trial production batch (approximately 10% of the bulk quantity) can be arranged to confirm the filling and sealing effect, as well as the clarity of the spray code. After passing the trial production, the brand can enter the mass production stage and send personnel to conduct on-site inspections at the emulsification and filling nodes.


    Step 5: Acceptance and after-sales service

    Complete sampling inspection within 72 hours after receiving the goods. If any packaging damage or abnormal content is found, image data should be retained and feedback should be provided in a timely manner. The contract should specify the time limit for handling quality issues and return and exchange terms.
