How to find a suitable eye mask processing factory for a brand: assessment, cooperation conditions, and process guidelines
For cosmetic brands, the choice of partners in the formulation, processing, and manufacturing stages of eye mask products directly affects the final delivery quality. There are many processing factories on the market, but there are differences in equipment conditions, quality control processes, and cooperation methods among each enterprise. Brand owners need to establish an operational evaluation method when screening, which considers both the hardware capabilities of the factory and the smoothness of the cooperation process.
Inspect the processing plant and start from three dimensions
Firstly, assess the management level of the production site. When making an appointment to visit the factory, it is recommended to focus on observing the workshop environment, material placement, and personnel operation standards. A well managed workshop with clear raw material labels, complete weighing records, and separate storage of semi-finished products and packaging materials. You can randomly ask the operators specific questions about equipment cleaning frequency, batch number traceability methods, etc., and judge the implementation level of daily management from the answers. In addition, pay attention to checking the operation status and humidity control data of the factory's air purification system. Products such as eye masks have clear requirements for the production environment, and relevant indicators should be continuously recorded and traceable.
Secondly, verify the technical capabilities and quality inspection methods of the factory. Request the factory to provide a list of equipment and calibration records, especially the specifications and maintenance cycles of core equipment such as emulsification tanks, filling lines, and sealing machines. At the same time, check whether the testing items that can be carried out in the internal laboratory of the factory, such as viscosity, pH value, microbial indicators, etc., have the ability to be completed by themselves, and whether the projects such as heavy metal and preservative content are in cooperation with external third-party organizations. Requesting comprehensive testing reports for any three batches of products within the past year, comparing data fluctuations, can assist in determining production stability.
Thirdly, evaluate the R&D cooperation of the factory. The brand often has its own formula idea or sample reference. Whether the factory can adjust the process parameters according to the needs, and whether it can put forward improvement suggestions on the film fabric material and essence solution system is very important in the actual cooperation. You can prepare a small adjustment request, such as changing the fragrance type or adjusting the flowability of the material, observing the factory's response speed and the professionalism of the modification plan, in order to determine the possibility of future deep cooperation.
Sorting out cooperation conditions and processes
In terms of cooperation conditions, processing plants usually set a minimum order quantity, which is directly related to the cost per unit. The brand needs to calculate the one-time investment such as mold fee, plate fee, testing fee, as well as the processing unit price, packaging material procurement cost, and logistics cost of each batch of products based on its own sales forecast. In terms of payment method, the industry practice is to prepay a certain percentage of the deposit and settle the final payment after passing the acceptance inspection. It is recommended to include product standards, acceptance methods, delivery cycles, and overdue responsibilities in the quality agreement to clarify the rights and responsibilities of both parties.
The complete cooperation process generally includes six steps: the brand provides a product requirement document, the factory evaluates feasibility and provides a quotation, both parties confirm and seal the samples, sign a commissioned processing contract, the factory schedules production according to the order and issues a testing report, and the brand arranges shipment after passing the inspection. The sample confirmation stage is particularly critical, and it is recommended to conduct at least three sample tests - laboratory samples, machine samples, and filling samples. Each stage of confirmation should be documented in writing.
